Kathya,
Last night I said things I would give anything to unsay. That you disgusted me. That I could spit in your face. Those words don't belong to me — not drunk, not angry, not ever — and I'm not going to hide behind an excuse. I was cruel to the person I love most in this world, and I am so, so sorry.
When you asked why I couldn't buy you flowers instead, I heard it wrong. I got defensive about who I am. But I think you were really telling me something simple: that you want to feel chosen. That the care I give so easily to everyone else should reach you first. You're right. It should. It does.
I don't want to stop being generous — and I don't think you ever really wanted me to. You just didn't want to get lost in it. You won't. Not ever again.
So let tonight be the start. Not with money — with you. Let me take you out, and let me celebrate you, because there is so much to celebrate.
Just press next. 💚
